Wondering about Japanese ticketing? You have come to the right place. I hope you find something helpful, and if you have new info for me, please DM!I work a full time job on top of helping people navigate the system, so please consider buying me a kofi if you are feeling extra generous!

Intro to Ticketing

Is the Japanese ticketing system confusing? This is an introduction to the flow. It's long, I know.

AnyPass app

Avex changed their ticket issuing system to a QR code-based smartphone app in 2022. It still has some growing to do.

APPLYING FOR TICKETS

Here I will mainly talk about Avex's lovely ticketing site called OFC Ticket, which is used for Bigeast lotteries.

An intro to TICKETING

You mean I have to enter a lottery?
Sales of tickets for big concerts, especially idols, are done by lottery. Lotteries are called "presales." There are a lot of different reasons that I can think of, but besides the "everyone has a fair chance" hypothesis, the infrastructure simply can't handle a first-come-first-serve sale. Even Ticketmaster struggled with Taylor and Bey.
If you ever have the soul-crushing experience of trying to buy a ticket via first-come-first-serve general sales in Japan, you will witness the enitre website crashing. Thus, you are given a week to two weeks to fill out your application for the lottery.General schedule:
1 week entry period
1 week wait for results
1 week to complete payment
For the CLASSYC arena tour, this was the lottery order:
・Super Premium
・First fanclub
・Official website lottery (general)
・Lawson ticket
・mu-mo
・Second fanclub (credit card only)
・Sapporo and Sendai only round
・General first-come-first-serve
・Equipment seats (day before)
Fanclub only lottery?
You thought there was just one lottery? Surprise! There are many different types of lotteries, and they can be across different ticketers, too. The very first lotteries are held for members of your fave's fanclub.
Did you think it was just for the contents? Nope! Organizers set a limited number of seats for the fanclub round (not the whole venue). Many groups now have seat types that are ONLY available to fanclub members. For Tohoshinki, those seat types are Premium and Super Premium. There might be multiple fanclub rounds before they move on to non-fanclub rounds. Fanclub events like The Garden Tours and The White Garden are not open to non-members at all.★General presales?
The order may or may not overlap with other fanclub rounds, but general presales are lotteries for non-fanclub members. Regular folks. These can even be on multiple ticketing sites. You will need to register an account to use major ticketers. CLASSYC used OFC, L-tike, mu-mo ticket, and eplus.
For each round of both types of lotteries, there are a certain set of seats up for grabs assigned to each ticketer. Each round, the seats available get futher from the stage. How do I enter?
Maybe you have heard of the ticketing system in the U.S. called "Ticketmaster." In Japan, there are many ticketing companies that serve this purpose. They are called playguides, and I will be referring to them here as ticketers.
Some examples are eplus, Ticket Pia, Lawson Ticket (l-tike), 7net, Ticket Board etc... I will mainly be covering Avex's OFC Ticket/mu-mo here.Fanclub ticketing is done on Avex's OFC Ticket. The link to the application form will be sent to you by email from Bigeast and/or will be posted on the Toho official website. The results and payment details will be sent to the email that you use to register your application.★What is LAWSON/MINISTOP PAY?
You can select, pay for, and print tickets at convenience stores in Japan. You can also get your ticket online, and then pay for it in cash at a store. This is true even if it is an e-ticket. Additionally, you can buy and pay for a ticket online, and then go to a store to have them print it out when its ready. Confused yet?
The reason why this matters is that one of the sponsors of Tohoshinki's tours is Lawson, a convenience store giant. Their ticketing system and online service is called L-tike, but they have terminals called Loppi in-store. As part of the sponsorship deal, the first two rounds of the lotteries are usually payable only at a Loppi terminal. You have to physically stand in front of a Loppi machine to operate it. Loppi requires a code and the phone number you put in your application, and then it prints a barcode for you to take to the counter to pay in cash (only). (I offer proxy payment services, so please let me know if I can help you pay for a ticket)★So how will I get my ticket?
With the pandemic making e-tickets more popular and anti-resale laws getting stricter, many tickets are now electronic only. (Some exceptions)
eplus has smart ticket on their app, Pia has a server called Cloak, l-tike has an app now, Tickebo displays the ticket on their mobile site and you can download it as an image. Avex has a ticket issuing app called AnyPass.I can't say this enough, but AnyPass is a digital ticket display app. If you have a problem with the tickets, they can't help you. You have to contact the ticketer. You will get an email anywhere from a week to three days before the show letting you know when your ticket is ready to be issued. However, resale has gotten so bad that you may not know your seat until you enter the venue.★So what do I need?
For Tohoshinki, which will use AnyPass, the very first thing you need is to download the application AnyPass and see if you can verify your phone number. Let's start with that. As long as you have a SIM card, most non-Japanese numbers can use AnyPass fine.
If you are already a member of Bigeast, you should have all the information to fill out the ticket application already, as it is registered with your account on the BE website, not Weverse. Remember to fill in your information EXACTLY as it appears on your Bigeast membership. Make sure the phone number you will be recieving tickets on is one of the numbers in your BE membership info.If you aren't a member of Bigeast...For OFC and mu-mo you need : A Japanese address.
You do not need a Japanese phone number, but PLEASE I AM BEGGING, !!put your phone number into the application exactly as it appears on your AnyPass profile!! The home screen does not display your country code, so check your profile page if you aren't sure. Since it is an e-ticket, nothing will actually be mailed to the address you enter. Take that as you will.
If credit card is an available payment method, then foreign credit cards seem to work even though it says on the site that they don't.L-tike, some Pia sales: A Japanese address and phone number
Even if you can register an AnyPass account with your number, you can't verify your number on L-tike (which is required for AnyPass sales). I asked Lawson about their system contradicting AnyPass, and they said "our sales are for domestic customers only."
For Taylor Swift, they made a global page for ticket sales instead. I don't think they will do this for Tohoshinki, sadly.Pia presales do allow foreign numbers (you can enter your country code like OFC), but general sales do not (no place for country code). If you need a Japanese number, (which could also help with fanclub info autofill), then you can purchase a Japanese SIM card for tourists. There are cheap monthly plans, you can can cancel easily. Some, like Softbank's service (I don't want to advertise here), will even send it to your country ahead of time. The number is on the package, so you can use it and then register for AnyPass once you get to Japan and activate it.L-tike accepts foreign credit cards if there is a non-Loppi option. Pia accepts foreign cards too.In my opinion, ticket lotteries on Avex's OFC and mu-mo have the smallest hurdles for international fans. So make sure you catch them while they are taking applications!

AnyPass App

★What is AnyPass?
AnyPass is a QR-code based ticket issuing/display app introduced by Avex in the first half of 2022. AnyPass links your tickets to your phone's SIM card. I'll say it again: Not an account, not a phone, but the SIM card.
PLEASE CHECK HOW YOUR PHONE NUMBER IS DISPLAYED IN THE APP BEFORE APPLYING FOR TICKETS. Please enter it into the ticket application correctly so you can get your tickets.AnyPass website
AnyPass FAQ
★ Can you register an AnyPass account with a non-Japanese phone number?
Yes! But there are a few things to keep in mind:
1 ) You have to either send an international sms (text) message or make an international call to verify your account. Depending on your phone plan, this can cost a surprising amount of money...2 ) Sms verification is sometimes not available. Especially for Android phones. You have to make the verification call and press the four-number code that you hear (while on the call). Unfortunately, the verification call is only available in Japanese. You can have a friend help you if you don’t know Japanese (it is simple 0-9 numbers), but they have to do it on your phone, as AnyPass is linked to your SIM card.3 ) Sometimes the display on the main page will look a bit weird, so please check the PROFILE page to see how your number is registered. This is what you will need to put into ticketing applications. The home screen on the app displays without country code, but it is registered.4 ) As far as I know as of June 2024, if your phone number is 12 digits not counting the country code, even though you can register for AnyPass, you cannot receive tickets. You need to either use a phone with an 11-digit number or resign yourself to having your tickets printed at the venue before the concert. You still need to have an AnyPass account registered.5 ) I only heard about this from someone I was trying to help, but apparently AnyPass doesn’t work for countries with 3-digit country codes? If anyone has experience with this, please let me know. If the ticketer OFC doesn’t have your country code, you need to email them to add it.6 ) If you are Bigeast, then the number you use for AnyPass (and ticketing sites by extension) needs to be the same as the one in your membership info. There are two fields for phone number, so use the other one to put your international number. It only takes 11 digits, so enter it without country code.★ What’s +ID?
This is just a system to connect all of your Avex service accounts together. I haven’t heard of anyone having trouble with this yet. Let me know if you do.
★ Should I put my name in alphabet or Japanese letters (katakana) when registering my information on AnyPass?
If you are Bigeast, please register your name as it is registered with the fanclub.
I cannot stress this enough: Use the name on your passport, not katakana. This can be a life saver if you have to print your ticket at the venue, which requires photo ID.However, AnyPass only allows 16 characters and no spaces. The best bet is your family and “first” name. I couldn’t put my middle name. But this is common as Japanese don’t usually have middle names. I usually just explain that the missing name on the ticket is my middle name. I have only had trouble a few times and that explanation shuts them up. It is also AnyPass’ fault that there is a character limit and no spaces, not yours. Please make sure your name is the same on Bigeast, ticketing sites, and AnyPass!!★ Does my ticket show up right after I pay?
Nope. In an attempt to discourage resale, you actually won’t know your seat number until after you enter the venue. What you will get is an email with a link either a few days before the show, or up to two weeks before. When you click it, it will take you to the app to download the ticket. You can also go the app directly and it will prompt you to download it. But only AFTER you get the email that it is ready. CLASSYC tickets were available to be downloaded onto AnyPass from noon three weeks before each concert date.
★ I purchased more than one ticket. How do I send it to my friend?
You can send it via their phone number, by email, or by the messaging service LINE.
If you choose the email or LINE options, it opens a message with a URL. When you friend clicks this URL, it takes them to their phone browser, which then opens the AnyPass app. You can copy this URL and paste it into a Twitter DM or Discord or Telegram, or whatever you use to talk to your friend. Please check the AnyPass website for a detailed tutorial about how to send tickets.★ What is a “parent” ticket? What is a “child” ticket?
A parent ticket is the ticket that belongs to the buyer. If you bought one ticket, then your ticket is a parent ticket. If you bought two tickets, then one is a parent ticket and one is a child ticket. If you have three, two are child tickets, etc. You cannot transfer a parent ticket to another person on AnyPass. One ticket will remain with the buyer unless you sell it via the AnyPass store.
This is so important if you are considering buying an “illegal” resale ticket. Make sure what kind of ticket is it. Are they going inside with you? Do they have a plan to get you through if they are selling a parent ticket? Can you pay after you enter the venue? Be careful.I was consulted about a case where the seller did not enter their phone number correctly when applying for tickets. They could not receive tickets on AnyPass, and since they became unable to go to the concert themselves, they didn’t want to put in the effort to fix it. They had to refund the buyer and the buyer had to scramble to find a new seller.Ask to see screenshots of their number on their AnyPass profile and the number on their ticket order page. If they don’t match, either demand they fix it or don’t buy.★ What if I change my phone model between buying the tickets and the concert?
Absolutely no problem with this unless you change your number. While ticketing sites like OFC will let you correct your number, they won’t let you change it if it’s because you got a new number.
★ What is the AnyPass Store?
AnyPass store is also a measure to avoid resale at a high price. It is a safe way to sell your tickets at the price you bought them for. While you cannot transfer your “parent ticket” to another person, you can sell your parent ticket on the AnyPass Store. You can also choose the number of tickets you put up for resale.
It says that you can only use a Japanese credit card on AnyPass Store, but I heard that there were no problems for foreign fans. Please send me a message if you have experience with this. I’m curious!Whether or not tickets for a concert or tour will be on the AnyPass Store is decided by the concert organizer. AnyPass either doesn’t know, or aren’t allowed to answer. Please don’t ask them.As of June 2024, ticket resale on AnyPass Store has never been switched on for Tohoshinki.

★ When will I know when my tickets are ready?
You will get an email from the ticketing site telling you that they are ready. (Below photo)

Then, you open the AnyPass app and it should open this window. Press confirm.

Then you press recieve tickets.

There you go! You have your tickets. If you got back to the home screen, you can press "Events" to check your tickets.

!!Remember, your seat number won't be displayed until the day of the concert!!★ I got the email that my tickets are ready for download, but when I press “receive tickets” in the app, it says I don’t have any tickets.
This has been a wide-spread problem with AnyPass. I have helped people from a bunch of different fandoms with this problem since October 2022. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM WITH ANYPASS, SO DO NOT CONTACT THEM ABOUT IT. They can’t help you.
This happens when your number on AnyPass and the number you registered on your lottery application do not match. This usually is the first zero in phone numbers with two-digit country codes. We usually drop the zero when dialing with the country code...My guess is that this is so Japanese users can just enter their full 11-digit domestic phone number (which begins with a zero). OFC and Ticket Pia now have a cautionary note on lottery application forms that warns about the zero problem, but in the worst possible wording. PLEASE CHECK YOUR ANYPASS PROFILE BEFORE YOU APPLY!!Since AnyPass registers your number from your SIM card directly, it cannot be changed. And you can't change the number in the ticket application either after applications close. As of May 2024, I spoke to a Filipina fan who was able to get her ticket from OFC even without the zero. I hope this means we will see less of this problem.OFC Ticket used to reply to emails asking to add the zero, but they stopped replying to any messages around summer 2023. I hope the Filipina fan's story means that they figured out the issue.IF YOU CAN'T RECEIVE YOUR TICKETS, PLEASE READ THE BOTTOM OF THIS.

★ The app won't display the QR code.
Is your phone set to Japan time? I have heard accounts that the QR to enter doesn't show up unless you have your phone set to Japan time. This makes sense, of course, because the app has to know how many hours until the concert.
★ I successfully downloaded my tickets in my home country, but now they aren't being displayed.
Are you using a Japanese SIM card while you are in Japan? Switching out your SIM card for a different one is the same as changing your phone number. Your ticket is locked to the phone number you entered when you applied for the tickets. Put your SIM back in. Use Wifi instead. There are great rental pocket Wifi available in Japan for your trip.

Applying for tickets

!!!REMEMBER!!!
Check how your phone number is displayed in AnyPass before you apply!
Because fanclub lotteries are linked to your Bigeast membership number, a lot of your personal info is autofilled into the lottery application. I will try to divide into BE and non-BE applications, but if you don't know how to fill something out, feel free to ask me.This section is divided into an intro, how to fill out the form, and common questions.

★OFC TICKET★

INTRODUCTION

★ What is OFC Ticket?
OFC ticket is a ticketing platform that belongs to Avex. Avex also has the playguide mu-mo ticket, but that often also uses OFC’s system. Sometimes people call it y-ticket because of the website domain name.
★ How does it work?
It is a lottery system. You enter your personal info and select the dates and types of seats you would like, and submit it as an entry to the lottery. You can choose up to 16 choices (day + seat type). They will send you an email of the results about a week after the deadline for applications closed. You then complete payment. Closer to the concert, tickets are issued on AnyPass. You will get an email letting you know that they are ready. You will display the ticket on AnyPass to enter the venue.
If you are Bigeast, there are also separate lotteries for Super Premium and Premium. You can’t win more than one seat type per performance. It is possible to win every ticket you apply for (excluding different ticket types for the same show) and it is also possible to get nothing.★ What do I need?
To register for AnyPass FIRST!!! (this is a link)
For the Bigeast round, very little. Your 6-digit membership ID number from the Bigeast website (NOT Weverse) and your phone number as it appears in AnyPass. You fill out the personal information form EXACTLY AS IT IS ON YOUR BIGEAST MEMBERSHIP!Make sure the number you put in for receiving your ticket on AnyPass is somewhere in your BE membership info, though. Otherwise your application may be canceled. If you aren’t Bigeast, the biggest hurdle is preparing a Japanese address. If you have a friend who can help, then put in theirs. If you don’t, I think there are proxy services for this. As a last resort, consider putting in a hotel where you would stay if you got the tickets. These tickets are digital on AnyPass so they will not be sending anything in the physical mail. You do not need a Japanese phone number to use OFC Ticket.

APPLICATION

★ How do I start?
Bigeast will send you an email with the URL for the ticketing page. I will also be uploaded on the Bigeast Website, and the general sales link will also be posted on the Toho Official Website.
Click the link. In a fanclub round, you have to login with your membership ID number and as of June 2024, the password is your birthday YYYYMMDD (8 digits). You then enter your email address and have to enter a verification code sent to your email. If it is a general round, you start with the email verification. When everything is all good, it will direct you to the tour page.

Put in the code....and you're in!

This is from the super premium lottey for the dome leg of CLASSYC. In the red box is the application and payment periods. Applications are from Feb 13 at 3PM to Feb 20 at 6PM. Results are on March 1 from 12PM, and the payment deadline is March 5 at 11PM.

★ How do I select tickets?
These photos are from the second Bigeast fanclub lottery for the arena leg of CLASSYC
.
Once you get all set up, you scroll down until you find the list of concerts. You can really click any of them and it will be the same. In this case, the one above is for the premium seat lottery and the one below for the other seating types. Click on.

That takes you to the window to choose your entry lots. You can choose a lot (up to 16) for the general. Here I will just show you how to choose the "first choice."★★Pick your concert
Which one do you want to go to? Select the concert you want to go to the most. For me, I wanted to go to the first day in Nagoya at Nippon Gaishi Hall...

★★Pick your ticket/seat type
There are a bunch of different types of seats for CLASSYC. S Seats are regular general seating. Here, there are four types of general seating and then standing.
> Regular with a penlight
>Regular (remain seated) with a penlight
>Regular without a penlight
> Regular (remain seated)
> Standing (this is in the stands in the back, not like a general standing area near the stage)

I picked standing... (I saw reports that everyone was dancing at Gaishi!)★★ How many tickets do you want?Up to 4 tickets per concert per application and you can only enter once per lottery per account. This is all or nothing, by the way. You can't apply for three and only get two. But please be careful: Read the explanation about parent and child tickets on AnyPass.

★★ Close it up!
You don't have to do this, but I am pretty dyslexic, so I scroll down and "close" the selection window for the first lot before going to the next one.

★★ Check! Next! Now, your first choice is filled out. You can then follow the same steps to fill out your second choice. When you close the selection box for your second choice, the third one will turn red. You have a bunch of them. Remember, if I were to apply for both standing and a regular ticket, I could only get one for that day.

★ Do I get to choose anything? How do they decide what you get...?Unfortunately all you can do is rank your choices and hope for the best. Like I said in my intro to the Japanese ticketing system, only the ticket companies know exactly how they decide who gets what.★ Ticket issuing? Payment method?
There is a drop down for you to choose the payment method and the method of recieving your tickets. This is easy for Super Premium and the first few rounds of the lottery because there is no choice. Lawson and AnyPass it is! In later rounds, there will be credit card payment options.

★ How do I fill out my name?
If you are Bigeast, PLEASE put in your name exactly as it is on your membership. Your phonetic name is in hiragana, so find a converter to katakana.
If you aren't BE, names are family name - first name. The first box should be in alphabet, and the second set of boxes is the Japanese phonetic alphabet katakana. If you don't know how to put your name in katakana, google is a good friend for most names.

★ Please put your phone number exactly as it is in AnyPass.
The most important part! (See image below)
Click the international number registration check box. It will allow you to select from the drop down menu that is circled. Select your country code. Enter your number as it appears on AnyPass. If your number is 12 digits without the country code, it won't go through. I will address that below. Then you just enter it again for confirmation.

The warnings say:
Download the AnyPass app on the phone will this number. You will be adding your tickets to AnyPass by phone number.
When registering a phone number, enter 11 digits STARTING WITH THE FIRST ZERO.As of June 2024, I still think....
CHECK HOW YOUR NUMBER IS DISPLAYED ON ANYPASS FIRST.
UNLESS....Your number not including the country code is 12 digits. Then take off the zero, but be warned that you may not be able to recieve tickets on AnyPass and will have to get the ticket printed at the venue. I will explain how below.I heard from a Filipina fan recently that she was able to get her tickets without the first zero on her number. That makes me so hopeful!!P.S. US numbers are 10 digits and they go through just fine. You have to be careful about this on Ticket Pia, but not OFC.★ What are all these drop downs?
Your sex and brithdate. This also has to match your Bigeast membership info. If you aren't a member, you still need to be careful because they will use this info to confirm your identity, especially if you have Premium or Super Premium seats.

★ How do I fill in a Japanese address?
IF YOU ARE BIGEAST, YOU MUST FILL IN YOUR ADDRESS EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS IN YOUR BIGEAST MEMBERSHIP INFO. If you aren't a member, use what you can.
This is actually autofill (look at the photo below). If you put in the postal code (3 numbers and 4 numbers) and hit the green search button, most of it is filled in for you. It fills up to the neighborhood (the drop down says Tokyo and I blocked out my city and neighborhood). The part of the address it does not fill is called banchi - which is block and house/building numbers (circled). This is usually a combination of two to three numbers. As long as this field is filled with at least one number, though, it will go through to the next page. My neighborhood has 5 blocks but it let me go through with a 0 in the field. Take that however you wish. The second box under that which I starred is for things like apartment numbers.

I have seen multiple times when someone did autofill and then wrote it a second time in the last box. Don't do this. The best example I can make is:
(A)
203-1226
Tokyo, TB Town
Oppi Neighborhood
2-6-18
Apt 212
If you put in the postal code, it will autofill everything up to Oppi Neighborhood. The last (required) box is for numbers. What I see is:(B)
203-1226
Tokyo, TB Town
Oppi Neighborhood
2-6-18 Apt 212
Oppi Neighborhood, TB Town, Tokyo 203-1226
(B) is not correct and will cause problems if you have to prove your identity to OFC if there are any problems.★ Why do you need to put your address in anyway?
They no longer send tickets in the mail so...why? To put it simply, it is another way for them to confirm your identity (and prevent ticket scalping). Nothing is sent to that address, but if something comes up, they can compare it to your name, birthdate, other personal information to confrim it's you. This makes things complicated because international fans don't have their proxy addresses on their photo IDs. There is no good solution at this point, but let's just try to keep mistakes down so we don't have to be checked. If you get Super Premium or Premium, please use your passport for your photo ID!
(For Bigeast members...They will invalidate your entries if you don't match your identifying information!)

★ What are all these check boxes? If you are applying for Premium or Super Premium, you will need to provide PHOTO ID to get inside of the venue. This is asking you to check what photo ID you will bring with you. I RECOMMEND PASSPORT. It is the law, but please have it on you always.

As of June 2024 for the Super Premium ticket lottery, there are also the following questions:(2) Tickets will be issued on AnyPass only. Please enter the number of YOUR OWN PHONE that you will carry with you on the day.
(check to confirm)
(3) If the information put into this application does not match the information on your photo ID, then you will not be allowed to enter.
(check to confirm)
(4) There will be no cancelation, changes, or refunds after you have purchased the tickets for ANY REASON.
(check to confirm)
★ It is showing me a price. Are you sure this is a lottery?
Don’t worry, it shows the maximum amount of money you would pay if you won every single ticket you entered for. It does not cost money to enter the lottery. You only pay if you win the tickets.
Here is the price if I won Super Premium for a day in Osaka and a day in Tokyo. This includes a bunch of service charges... Whew! I will actually pay nothing because no one ever gets Super Premium. My wallet is safe. For now.

★ And...done!
This is the last screen. Congratulations! That is your application number. A confirmation email with your application details and your order numbers for each ticket will be sent to your email. You can also hit the green button or the ticket at the top to check the order. (It will ask you to login again)
Keep the confirmation email just in case! There is also a URL that you can click to check on your ticket status. This is helpful for double checking the status of the tickets. For non-fanclub rounds, you may need your application number to login to OFC to check ticket status and payment info.

★ When and how will I get my results?
It usually says in the information (like on the website). Usually it is a week after the deadline for entry. The results will be emailed to you. Make sure to go through the email carefully. It will list every performance and seat you applied for and have a yes or no. Once I saw that I didn’t get a ticket and didn’t scroll enough to see that it was only the one at the top of the list…
★ How do I pay if I get the tickets?
This is the tricky part. One of the sponsors of Toho tours is Lawson, a convenience store chain. Some rounds of ticketing are Lawson Loppi pay only. Loppi machines are actual terminals in stores. You have to physically be in Japan to make the payment at the register in cash.
However, in the second Bigeast lottery and in the mu-mo ticket lottery, credit cards were allowed. OFC says in its FAQ that they do not allow non-Japanese cards, but I heard of at least three non-Japanese credit cards going through.★Feel free to contact me about proxy payments for Lawson (if you like). If you are in Japan and are confused by Loppi, you can ask me questions too.★If you pay by card, the confirmation will be in the email saying you won. If you pay by another method, like Lawson, a confirmation email will come once the payment is made. You are gonna want to save that email.★ Do I have to pay for every ticket I win?
Yes and no. For example, if you got two tickets for one Yokohama show and won, then you have to pay for both of those tickets. If you got one ticket for day 1 and one ticket for day 2, you can chose to pay for one day and not the other. Once the payment period ends, it will be canceled automatically.
I have heard a lot of people worry that they will be "blacklisted" for not paying. Let me tell you, if Japanese people were blacklisted for not making convenience store payments, everyone would be blacklisted...I let the payment period go for a ticket for the CLASSYC dome tour and still got a second row seat at White Garden. You shouldn't do it a lot, of course, but it isn't the end of the world.HOWEVER if the round is credit card only or you are paying by credit card, your card will be charged the second you win. Once your card has been charged, you cannot cancel or refund the ticket. Be careful! I ended up with way too many tickets to Garden Tours like this...★ I paid. Where are my tickets? I looked at AnyPass and they aren’t there.
Sadly, tickets aren’t issued until a few weeks before the concert. You will get an email from OFC ticket telling you that your tickets are ready to be downloaded on AnyPass. Follow their instructions to receive the tickets inside of the app. If you don’t have an email from them, then they aren’t ready yet.
Please refer to my AnyPass page for how to issue tickets.

COMMON ISSUES

★ I got the email that my tickets are ready to be issued, but I tried to get them on the app and it says I have no tickets.
This is extremely common…
The biggest cause is not putting your phone number into the OFC application exactly as it appears on the AnyPass app. Please, I am begging you, confirm what your number looks like on the AnyPass app before you enter it into OFC. Once you win the ticket, you cannot change the phone number.
If you didn’t check…★★Common Cause #1
The first zero in your number after the country code is missing.
My number, for example, is +81 (Japan) and 080-####-####. When you dial a phone, you usually put +81-80-####-####. But not AnyPass. Numbers are registered country code and the first zero. +81-080-####-####.You used to be able to email OFC and get them to fix it, but they stopped replying to messages to my understanding. But don't worry, there is another way.★★Common Cause #2
Your phone number is 12 digits not counting the country code.
This is related to the phone number entry section. OFC can only handle 11 digits after the country code. The system just doesn’t take 12 digit numbers.★★Solution★★ As of June 2024As long as you have the AnyPass app downloaded, can prove payment for the ticket, and have a photo ID, you can still get your ticket. You need:
(1) Photo ID
(2) Proof of payment
(3) Your phone with the AnyPass app installed
(4) If you are going with your friend, they need to be with you
For CLASSYC and all concerts by other artists using AnyPass, by the entrance to the venue, there was a AnyPass/OFC ticket help desk.If the holder of the “parent” ticket brings the above items, they can have the tickets printed. Any person using a “child” ticket must go with the “parent” ticket holder to the desk. If you don’t know what that means, please read my AnyPass explanation page. This is where the payment confirmation email I mentioned above comes in handy. It has the application number, the order numbers for each ticket you have, and says that the payment is completed. They only do this 15 minutes before the doors open, though, so don't waste time going early. It’s a little nerve-wracking, but no one I have helped has been turned away. This is one reason I suggest putting your name in alphabet in both AnyPass and OFC so it matches your passport. Just in case.As much as it isn't really the best idea, if you only have a 12-digit number available to you, enter your phone number with one missing digit (first zero is best) and get your ticket printed at the venue.★ OFC Ticket isn't replying to my inquiries.
First, did you email them in Japanese? OFC only answers inquries made in Japanese. (Same with AnyPass)
OFC suggests not using gmail as the contact email for your inquiry, as emails from OFC are sometimes not delivered. However, the same goes for non-Japanese yahoo accounts.Make sure that your mail client allows emails from the y-tickets.jp domain. They also recommend settings to allow emails containing URLs. Check your spam, too. It’s a vicious circle. But PLEASE remember that there are people on the other end of your inquiries and they are not only handling TVXQ. Send one, and if they don’t reply in a day or two, send another with a different email. Don’t spam them with emails. They can’t tell if their emails are not getting to you just like you can’t tell if they sent one to you. With my yahoo, I usually get an answer from them the next day. My gmail doesn’t get messages from them. But someone else I helped used their gmail the whole exchange. Someone had to use their friend’s Japanese yahoo account because their Indonesian one didn’t work. It’s a mess. But you can still get the ticket issued at the venue, so don't worry too much if time runs out.★ OFC emailed me and I sent back my personal info, but they said they couldn't confirm my identity.
I will scream this from the rooftops, but open your application information and fill out the form they email you exactly as it appears on your order. Even if it is wrong, it needs to match your application info exactly.
★ Use every chance to use OFC or mu-mo!
Keep in mind that it is impossible for buyers with non-Japanese phone numbers to register their numbers on Lawson and eplus, and in some cases on Pia. You have to use your chance on OFC or OFC-using ticketers like mu-mo ticket if you want to use your own phone.
IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION, I NEED IT! Please send me a DM on Twitter.

TicketBoard and Live QR Plus

INTRODUCTION

★What is TicketBoard? It is a ticketing site/play guide like Lawson Ticket, eplus, Ticket Pia, or mu-mo. Tickets are issued in the form of QR codes. Some QR tickets are simply displayed in mobile and can be downloaded, but Ticketbo also has its own QR code based app for issuing tickets called Live QR Plus. There is a function in Live QR Plus to upload a photo of yourself for matching to a photo ID, too.Payment methods are most major convenience stores and credit card. You must verify your phone number, but it allows international numbers. It seems like it requires you to enter a Japanese address, though. (If you see otherwise, please let me know)They have quite a lot of information in English, so take a look at the sites for more information:☆TicketBoard☆

Note: There is actually a “new” TicketBo and an “old” TicketBo. SMT Tokyo and Keyland were on the old one, but since this SHINee concert is finally on the new one, I think we are safe! But keep in mind there are actually two systems running at once! Ateez (same label) used both of them for one promotion cycle and it drove me nuts.

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

Notes:
1) I already have an account, so I can’t show you some of the steps!
2) Ticketboard can’t decide whether to display my page in English or Japanese, so some of my screenshots are from the Japanese side!
